چکیده

Dr. Jiang came back to China in 1999 and worked as an institute director in the Institute of Medicinal Biotechnology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS)/Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) in Beijing. His research field on drug R&D covers infectious diseases, cancer and metabolic disorders. Dr. Jiang has published over 130 research articles in journals like Nature Medicine, Cancer, Cell, Hepatology, PNAS, etc. Two accomplishments have been translated into clinical use serving patients, with one for drug-resistant hepatitis B and one for blood lipids. Two National Awards for Natural Science and Advanced Technology have been granted to his research on infectious diseases and metabolic syndrome. Dr. Jiang is currently the president of the Institutes of Pharmaceutical Sciences as well as director of the Institute of Materia Medica, of CAMS/PUMC. He also serves as Editor-in-Chief for Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B.
